The Final Two Weeks!

You read the title right everyone! I have two weeks left in my Independent Study (well, the summer one that is) and this summer has just flown by. In this post, you will find my calendar for the next two weeks, some great news I just received, as well as some small updates on the study as a whole. Thanks for checking out my blog, I hope you enjoy it!

My proposed plan for the next two weeks

Alright everyone, so last week was (again), a very busy week for my Independent Study! I had a great interview with another Jack Linger Independent Study Fund Recipient, Mukta, and a video with the two of us is currently in the post-production phase. I am super excited about this video because I am finally going to edit it in Adobe Premiere Pro! I have spent the past few weeks learning about this industry standard program through an online class on Skillshare. It’s a great website and I highly recommend their programs. Speaking of Skillshare, I have one final class that I am going to take with them this summer that is about the Canon 5D EOS camera that my school has generously lent me. It has been a blast learning about these DSLRs and editing programs!

I am also going to finish my final book for this summer: Rebel Without a Crew by Robert Rodriguez. I just started it, but I can already tell that it is going to be a great read.

As you can see in my posts column above, I have a few more scheduled posts coming this summer (as well as possibly a few surprise ones)! I am personally very excited for the movie ones, those have probably been some of my favorite posts so far.

I am also about to purchase some new production equipment so I am very excited about that. I’ll talk about them and put links to them in one of my upcoming posts…

Ah yes, I guess it is about time to talk about the big surprise I mentioned. Last week, my parents generously offered to purchase a professional video editing computer as a gift to help me continue my video studies even past my Independent Studies. Big shoutout to them, they are the MVPs! Check out my blog later this week to see how I found the computer that would work best for me 🙂

Again, thank you all for sticking with me on my journey this long. It has been an amazing journey full of tremendous growth, but don’t get sad yet, because this amazing journey isn’t over!
